All Set for GT Opener after Phillip Island Test
There’s only 1 week to go until the opening round of the GT World Challenge Australia series at Phillip Island and a recent successful test has us ready and raring to go!
Weekend Wrap – AMRS SUPER GT 4 HOUR
What started off as a pretty standard race meet quickly became a busy affair as teammates Indiran and Duvashen Padayachee had an unfortunate incident in Practice 1. The damage sustained to their 991 Gen II cup car was such that it could not be repaired in time for the race. This led to a SOS mission to retrieve the RAM Motorsport 991 Gen I cup car from storage for an unexpected cameo meaning the familiar green and black livery would be an ever-present sight across the 4 hour endurance race!
Entry Confirmed for AMRS Super GT 4 Hour
It has already been a busy start to the year at RAM Motorsport between taking delivery of the new Wolf Tornado and 992 GT3 Cup Cars, however things have kicked up a notch with preparations well underway as Mike Sheargold and Garth Walden are set to once again tackle the AMRS Super GT 4 hour enduro on the 18th and 19th of February.
Week Wrap – Fanatec GT World Challenge Aus Rd 4
Excitement levels were high as we headed to Mount Panorama for the final round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS. Being our GT debut and first race meeting for the Mercedes AMG GT3 our goal was to learn as much about the car as possible in preparation for an anticipated full campaign in 2022.

Big things on the cards for RAM Motorsport in 2022
Whilst the racing this year has been a lot quieter than expected RAM Motorsport have put the extra time to good use. Preparations have ramped up for a massive year in 2022 where the team plans to make the big step up from state to national level competition in not one but three categories.
Weekend Wrap – NSW SuperSports Round 2
Saturday morning qualifying was delayed as thick fog hung over the track at Wakefield Park. When action commenced it was still very cold and slippery, especially on slicks. It took 8 laps to get the tyres up to temp but grip was still very limited however Ryan set a qualifying time that was good enough for 2nd in class.
Weekend Wrap – Sydney 300
After a somewhat last minute decision to run in the Sydney 300 enduro we were keen to get out for practice to get a feel for the new Yokohama tyres we planned to run, which we had never run on the car before. Right from the start the car felt good and we were P12 and P11 in 1st and 2nd practice respectively.
WEEKEND WRAP – PRODSPORTS NSW RD1
In Q1 Mike started off strong getting within a few tenths of a PB on his best flyer to come in P4. A short turnaround and a fresh set of tyres for Q2 helped set up a solid run and shave 8 tenths of his PB but still came in P4 as most of the competition also found some more time.
