Big things on the cards for RAM Motorsport in 2022

Whilst the racing this year has been a lot quieter than expected RAM Motorsport have put the extra time to good use. Preparations have ramped up for a massive year in 2022 where the team plans to make the big step up from state to national level competition in not one but three categories.

The first of these national categories is GT World Challenge Australia and Mike Sheargold is set to contest the series in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 which arrived only this month from its previous owners in New Zealand. Co-driving in the AMG GT3 will be GWR Australia team principal Garth Walden, who makes a return to full time competition for the first time since 2019.

The team has also managed to secure one of the next generation 992 Porsche GT3 Cup cars which will contest the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia next year. Whilst no driver has been confirmed yet discussions are underway with several high-profile drivers and we look forward to making an exciting announcement before the end of the year.

Race, Mechanical and Engineering support will be provided for both GT World Challenge and Porsche Carrera Cup by GWR Australia.

Finally in the world of open seaters Ryan Godfrey makes the move to national competition in the Australian Prototype Series (APS). Having cut his teeth at the state level in Radicals, Ryan has elected to change things up and secured a Wolf GB08 Tornado which is set to arrive later this year.

Tigani Motorsport will provide race day support to Ryan in the APS.
