Godfrey to fly the flag for RAM Motorsport at Queensland Raceway
With the clock beating us for repairs required to our AMG GT3 after the Bathurst 12 hour Ryan Godfrey will be the solo RAM Motorsport representative at Queensland Raceway this weekend.
Ryan will be competing in the Australian Prototype Series in his Wolf Tornado. When asked about his prospects this weekend after a competitive APS debut at his home track of Sydney Motorsport Park he said 'I'm looking forward to the challenge this weekend of racing at a track I've never been to before. We haven't even tested here so it will be a new challenge getting up to speed across the two practice sessions but I'm up for it and hope to be up the pointy end after we qualify tomorrow. From there who knows what can happen in the races!'
Meanwhile Sheargold and Walden will be have to be satisfied watching from the sidelines this weekend after delays in receiving parts meant repairs required to the AMG could not be effected in time to make the grid this weekend. When asked about not competing this weekend Mike said 'It's very disappointing given where we are standing after the first round. Even though the car has been stripped ready for repair for months the state of global logistics just meant we couldn't get the parts we needed in time to get the car back together for this weekend. There's not much else we could have done so for now all we can do is enjoy watching our competitors go at it this weekend and keep our eyes forward for the next round at Sandown.’
Race 1 on Saturday afternoon and Race 3 on Sunday Afternoon will be broadcast live on Stan Sport.
